General Questions

  • The conference will take place on 23 and 24 November.

  • Yes, the FARI Conference is free and open to all.

  • Registration is not yet open. You will soon be able to register on our website.

  • Registration will open soon until Friday, November 20, 14:00 CET.

  • November 23 - Day one of the FARI Brussels Conference

    The conference will be held at Studio Flagey, Place Sainte-Croix 1050 Brussels.

    November 24 - Day two of the FARI Brussels Conference

    The FARI Partners' Day will be held at BeCentral, Cantersteen 12, 1000 Brussels.

  • Please bring a copy of your Eventbrite registration (e-copy or printed) and your ID.

  • The conference caters to public, private, and academic sectors. In previous years, the FARI Brussels Conference has attracted diverse participants interested in the discussion of AI for the common good and sessions are carefully developed to serve the interests of researchers, administrators and policy makers, entrepreneurs and citizens.

    We reserve the right to deny access to our events to any individual who does not comply with our guidelines or whose behavior compromises the safety and respect of participants.

  • Both days of the conference are in English to cater to everyone attending, from Brussels and beyond.

  • No, the FARI Brussels Conference is an in-person event. However, please stay tuned on FARI’s YouTube channel for the highlights of the conference.

Program

  • FARI - AI for the Common Good Institute is a non-profit university institute on AI, data and robotics focused on the Common Good. We are jointly initiated by two Brussels universities (VUB & ULB) - uniting interdisciplinary expertise across 10 research groups on AI, data, robotics, social sciences, ethics, and law.  

    We do research and build bridges with public administrations, industry, and citizens, promoting sustainable AI, data & robotics with a focus on urban and public priority domains such as health, mobility, sustainable robotics, climate and energy, participatory and inclusive society. 

  • This year's theme, Brussels, Capital of AI?, explores how Brussels can shape the development and governance of AI, and what it would mean for the city to position itself as a responsible and sovereign “AI capital.”

  • The 2026 conference brings experts from public, private, and academic sectors who are engaging in initiatives on AI for the common good.

    The program and speakers lineup are continuously being updated.

  • Yes, participants are encouraged to network during breaks.

Logistics and Accessibility

  • November 23

    Studio Flagey is accessible by public transport through Tram 81 (direct access to Brussels-South station) and Buses 38, 59, 60, 71 (direct access to Brussels Central station with bus 38 & 71).

    November 24

    BeCentral is located next to Brussels Central station. It is also accessible by other public transports: metro lines 1 & 5 ; buses 29, 38, 52, 63, 65, 66, 71, 89 ; and 29 ; and tram 92 et 93 (with stops at Royale or Parc).

  • We recommend coming by public transportation to avoid traffic.

    November 17

    Should you need to come by car, parking is possible at Parking Indigo Place Flagey, Proxiparking - Flagey, and Zenpark - Bailli Ibis Styles. Reservations are recommended for Parking Indigo and Proxiparking and are required in Zenpark.
